Once I had confirmation that Jhoy and Reynard were scamming me together, I knew I had to act. Not out of revenge — but to prevent them from scamming anyone else.
They were changing their profiles, deleting messages, and pretending to be victims. I needed to get ahead of them and expose the truth.
So I sent warnings to many people connected to them on Facebook. Friends, relatives, people who interacted with their posts. I let them know what was going on. I wanted them to know the truth about Jhoy Abueva Catubig and Reynard Emboltorio.
The Message I Sent to Her Network
Here’s a copy of the message I shared with her friends and family:
Hello,
I want to warn you that Jhoy Abueva Catubig and Reynard Emboltorio are running an online romance scam.
Jhoy, under the name “🦂 ScorpiongirL 🦂” on Tango (tango.me/jhouichi194), pretended to love me and claimed I was her boyfriend and even the father of her baby.
She told me the father had abandoned her. Later, I discovered they were together the entire time.
When I confronted her, she admitted on video call that Reynard is her boyfriend and helps her run her Tango live streams.
I have screenshots, emails, and chat logs. She even agreed to a $400 one-on-one video session and provided a PayPal email that is registered to Reynard.
Please be aware they are actively scamming people for money online. If you know them personally, ask them to return what they took and stop hurting others.

Her Reaction
When Jhoy saw that I had contacted her family and friends, she panicked again. She blocked me. She changed her Facebook name and username multiple times. She tried to delete her past posts.
She wrote one message publicly, mocking the idea that she was a scammer:
“Excuse me, I didn’t ask for anything. Why would I pay him back? He gave me gifts on Tango. Then he threatened to expose me. Bahala ka jan.”
But she eventually deleted that post, too.
She Changed Her Identity Again
Jhoy’s attempt to hide was quick and clumsy.
Here are some of the profile changes she made:
- Original Facebook Name: Jhoy Abueva Catubig
- New Facebook Name: MJ A. Catbueva
- Old Profile URL: facebook.com/jhoymaldhita.catubigabueva
- New Profile URL: facebook.com/wonderWoman.Tannerray.com.ph
She also changed her Tango usernames multiple times:
- 🦂 ScorpiongirL 🦂
- 🧚🏼 FIREFLY 🧚🏼
- 🦸🏼⚡superWoman⚡🦸🏼
These changes were meant to hide — not to own up to what happened.
Why I Sent Those Messages
I sent those warnings because I knew I wasn’t her only victim.
I’ve seen others fall for the same story. I wanted her circle to know what she was doing — because often, family has no idea that someone they love is using fake relationships to exploit people online.
This wasn’t about revenge. It was about stopping a cycle of manipulation.
